It takes immense courage to write this. And more that that, courage to seek help when we need it. The moment we stop shaming people for their mental health, the easier it'll become for them to speak about it and seek help. I've been suicidal in my teens and if it wasn't for a bunch of friends who stood by me, I don't think I'd be here today.

Thank you so much for sharing your story, Raksha. It means a lot. I’m thankful for your friends.

I've started to overshare about my mental health in random conversations, something I've started practicing lately. Still need to learn to embrace awkward silences :) Even if someone feels safe enough to open up or realizes they are not alone, it’s enough 🫶

My pleasure, and thank you for giving me the push with your candid piece. The awkward silences will be there at times but once in a while, someone will come along to say they've been there and understand, and that they are there for you. And that acceptance makes it all okay. So keep sharing and finding your people :)
